Its why we do not see much attention on the guild forums on the TOR site, i do not bump, rather have people know what they are looking for and seek us out, have people come to us because they want to be apart of it, rather then someone just looking for any old guild.

If we want to create a good name, we all have to want it, and be ready to work for it.
The first few month will be key, then sticking with it, creating content, hosting events both lighthearted and serious, mixing with individuals of others guilds,

Respect the players, and respect the tag.
Our actions will speak louder then words,
Which is partly why I ended up joining myself, saw Darka's sig, then read the post it linked to, liked the whole system, and Darka had seemed like a decent enough guy from the posts I had read on the TOR Forums at that point, so when I saw the guild was also in SWG, I figured, even though I had not planned to join a guild, I would give the guild a shot, and have not regretted my choice, only the fact that I have not been able to play SWG as much as I would like...

Anyways, on topic: I agreed pretty much everything that has been said here, to stand out we need to have a good reputation on being strict about anyone who might make us look bad, and be strict on recruting new members, and be known for helping lower levels, guild members and otherwise, and deffineatly no picking on lower levels or insulting someone for no reason, in other words being mature. In other words: Never Dishonor the guild tag.

Said it once, say it again...best way to stand out is to be unique.
Rarely break IC, be known for helping anyone regardless of guild tag, and only have mature and friendly members.
Anyone acting like a nit gets the old boot to the ass out the door.

If you want to act like a teenage moron and giggle about every little thing...go join a guild that views everything like a 12 year old boy. If you want respect, the first thing to expect from every single member is maturity. If you want renown, be good at what it is you do. If you want to become a community pillar, you have to help build the community from day one.

Nempo is right as usual lol. I also agree with rarely breaking the RP as well. make our name better known as RP. and considering maturity, just take me as an example. gotta come across as someone who has taxes to pay when im 14 xD

I agree with Nempo. As long as folks are respectful, willing to help and try to remain in character, I think FA will stand out. Smile

Events is something that has come to mind.
Something a few of us have enjoyed running, letting our creative streak go wild and really can help set up some great experiences

We need to be the best. RP won't set us apart from them at first, but over time it will. What we need is dedicated people that want to be the best and want to help others achieve end game as well. I most likely won't sleep for a week at a time for about a month when the game releases (Monster ftw) just because I want to be the best smuggler and be the first legend. When I started playing WoW 6 years ago (played the beta) I was new to the whole MMO thing and quite frankly, sucked at it. I marveled at those that got to 60 and was giddy when I would see an 'epic' player. I want to be that. I want this to be my game, and I'm going to make that happen.

This is though, I cannot do that alone. That's why I need a guild, I need you guys. But this isn't something that I'm going to be parasitic about, this can be beneficial for myself and the community as well. I can be one of those players, and I can help all of you just as you help me. Giving back to the community (ours) is what is going to set us apart. Helping ourselves (the community) is what will skyrocket us to endgame and domination.

Oh it's going to be fun Very Happy

I would say, if you want to be the best, the first rule is to ignore the 'getting to endgame first' mindset. Instead...stick with the guild at large, RP, interact, help out non-guildies you see struggling.

In Aion I am still not max level, my gear is crap, yet half the server knows me. And I still thrash lvl 50's in great gear. Know your class, and be known for being helpfull and a good person/guild. Endgame will always be there...but the journy to endgame only happens once with your character. Take the time to relax and get to know people on your server.

The choices are, be known for being a rusher (and get the stigma of being an asswhole that comes with it), be known for being a pure RPer that takes 2 years to hit endgame (the stigma here is that you are always busy), or be known as that friendly person that is easy to talk to (stigma from this is people think your a player if you are seen around women more often than men...but this stigma never lasts).

Appearances matter, not only personally but our personal appearances affect the guild at whole. Always maintain maturity and helpfullness in the extreme. Try and remain IC (RP communities take effort to build, and I personally want FA to be a pillar...a fulcrum that the community relies on) and promote RP interaction with everyone not just the guild.

i think one thing that helps us stand out , and will help us stand out in TOR is our politeness and helping others . I have seen over my years with the guild peeople who reach out to others in need ( a true jedi attribute) and our politness. As im sure this will continue in TOR , people will notice it , and it being an MMO word spreads , and people will join us. As long as we present our selves with the manners and qualities I know we all have . we will be fine in TOR.
